DIESEL MECHANIC

Class A Diesel Mechanic, Commercial Marine Vessels. Work will include CAT, Volvo and Detroit engines.  Diagnose, repair, rebuild and PM.  Work location to include Atlantic City and Millville, NJ.

Duties include:

    • Troubleshooting, repairing, servicing and Preventative maintenance on marine engines, hydraulic pumps and other motors on Commercial Fishing Vessels

Must have minimum of 7 years’ experience and possess own tools.  Welding experience a plus.

SHOP SUPERVISOR

The Marine Machine Shop Supervisor is assigned responsibility for overseeing the Company's Machine Shop which services Commercial Fishing Vessels for the Company’s fleet. 

This role is responsible for inventory management, shipping and receiving inspection, and general organization of tools, parts and shop area as well as fabricating parts within allowed dimensional accuracy/tolerance by using measuring tools, saws, mills, lathe and other machinery/equipment within the department

Must have minimum of 7 years’ experience and possess own tools.  Welding experience a plus.

WELDER/FABRICATOR 

Welder/Fabricator for Commercial Marine Vessel Fleet.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

    • Align and weld metal components for Commercial Marine Vessels using MIG, TIG and stick welding equipment.
    • Make repairs to machinery while in place
    • Differentiate grade and type of steel as well as welding materials.
    • Clean work piece to remove impurities, such as slag, rust and grease using wire brush, portable grinder, hand scraper or chemical solution
    • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance
    • May operate other shop equipment such as horizontal band saw, grinders, etc

“Basic” mechanical skills such as pumps, bearings, belts, pipes etc. and/or Electrical skills a plus.

Must have minimum 5 years’ experience and possess own equipment.
